Isabelle Jodoin

Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Interim Vice President, Construction

In 2024, Isabelle joined Groupe HELIOS as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, where she leads all activities across the seven lines of business: Water, Buildings, Recreation, Engineering Design, Construction, Project Management and Outside Quebec, as well as the administration of services dedicated to operational support.

HELIOS Mission

Her primary mission is to make the Group and its subsidiaries a high-performing organization that builds lasting business relationships. On a daily basis, Isabelle sets organizational and functional direction by adopting consistent, efficient internal processes and transparent, sustained communication, and by focusing on the quality of shared services in human resources, quality, health and safety and environment, innovation and technological development.

My role at HELIOS is to create the conditions for success so that our teams can care for others, collaborate with excellence and deliver services that have a positive, lasting impact for our clients and our communities.

Education

A civil engineer and graduate of Université McGill, Isabelle has 35 years of career experience, giving her technical expertise and specific experience in all matters relating to administration and operations management, with an approach focused on efficiency and performance.

Background and Experience

Isabelle was responsible for numerous urban development projects and water treatment plants. She rose through the ranks within the company and held several senior positions, where she was responsible for human resources, management and quality systems, and engineering operations management. She notably served as Senior Vice President, Engineering and Urban Planning, and as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Dessau/Stantec. Thanks to her extensive management experience, Isabelle has developed a deep understanding of the challenges related to evolving business practices in the engineering sector, enabling her to adapt her approach by integrating market changes and driving growth, notably through strategic analysis, optimization of organizational functions and budgetary rigour.

Involvement and Governance

A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) from 1986 to 2025 and a member of the Association des firmes de génie du Québec (AFG) from 2016 to 2022, she served on that association’s board of directors for two years before serving as its chair from 2018 to 2020. Isabelle was also involved with the Association de l’industrie électrique du Québec (AIEQ) as a member of the board of directors and the governance committee between 2017 and 2022. Through these various professional and technical committees, she drew on her extensive knowledge of the engineering consulting industry to help advance and promote the profession.
