Gildas-Louis Monfort

Vice President, Finance and Accounting

Gildas-Louis Monfort joined HELIOS in June 2021 and was appointed Vice President, Finance, Corporate Services of Groupe HELIOS in early summer 2025. Based in Longueuil, he brings extensive expertise in finance, major project controls and administrative governance acquired in the engineering, services and construction sectors.

HELIOS Mission

In his role, Gildas-Louis is responsible for financial planning, management control, administrative services and corporate functions at Groupe HELIOS. He oversees project financial monitoring mechanisms, risk management, treasury, and relationships related to national and international financing. He supports senior management and operational teams, ensuring the structured use of resources.

Our team works rigorously to optimize financial resources in order to support strategic decision making and the growth of our markets in Quebec and internationally.

Education

A graduate in accounting and management, Gildas-Louis completed his studies in France. He holds an undergraduate degree in management and finance, in addition to having completed training in administration and accounting at a military institution. He has completed several specialized training programs in project management, integrated management systems (IMS), financial statement analysis, Six Sigma and business ethics.

Background and Experience

A seasoned professional, Gildas-Louis has nearly three decades of experience in the management and control of engineering and construction projects, finance, administration of public and private contracts, and management of foreign subsidiaries. He has taken part in the execution and monitoring of major projects in North America, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and North Africa, including in Algeria, Peru, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Venezuela.

Before joining HELIOS in 2021 as Administrative and Financial Director for Latin America, he held management positions at Construction Demathieu & Bard and Dessau, where he served, among other roles, as Vice President, Finance and Management Control for Latin America, Vice President, International Major Projects Administration, and Director of Project Controls, nationally and internationally. A former military officer in France, he also contributed to the implementation of national management control systems within the Ministry of Defence.

Involvement and Governance

A member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2011, he is recognized for his rigour, leadership and ability to work in complex, multicultural environments. Trilingual (French, English, Spanish), he places sustainable performance, transparency and sound governance at the heart of his professional commitment.
